Toursynbio was founded by Prof. Yuguang Wang with a vision to transform drug creation through scientific superintelligence. The company brings together a global team of AI scientists, computational biologists, and biopharmaceutical experts from leading institutions including the University of Cambridge, UCL, Johns Hopkins University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, UNSW, and Monash University, alongside industry veterans from Merck, Lila Sciences, AstraZeneca, BioNTech, and GSK. The team integrates expertise in foundation models, protein design, autonomous wet-lab systems, biologics development, and clinical translation to build the next generation of AI-driven drug discovery platforms.
